Normally, I would tell you about the amazing village next to the ravine that has a bridge ready to go. Except, I also found this BEASTLY SHADOW CAVERN full of zombies and doom. So, goodbye happy perfect village bridge... hello untimely death!

Without question, this is one of the most complex underground areas that I've found so far. I counted no less than six underground cave complexes that all branch out toward X=0,Z=0. That means that there's a possibility that some of them may meet to form one single massive complex -- which would be outrageous -- or you could dig to connect them. Conversely, the top side is full of villages. Lots of stuff to see and do.

Etymology

You know in cartoons when someone has to sign on the dotted line and they make an "X"? That's a real life thing. Historically, people who didn't know how to write their own name would use a crisscross -- which comes from "Christ's cross". Originally it wasn't an "X", but an actual cross and people would sign with the Christian cross to promise "to God" to fulfill the contract. Over time, the cross got tipped on it's side and now is an "X".

Today, the word "crisscross" means to cross over and then back (think laces on a shoe).

Notes

Tons of villages, including three big ones. One of them even has diamonds. I found some really nice old-school rock formations -- not the least of which is an epic-sized land bridge.
