Notes

As unimpressive as it is, I did find a rare set of dual surface lava pits right next to each other. This seed is remarkable because of what's below ground, not the surface. I found a very large stronghold and there's a dungeon built right into the wall.

Pleasant Valley Sunday was a song by The Monkees that was released in 1967. It went to #3 on the Billboard charts. My Review

This seed is about as flat as it gets. If you like mountains -- this is not the seed for you. There are two perfect dueling villages at 21.76.200 that you can combine because they are so close together.

Etymology

I play DOTA 2 and this is the name of one of their upcoming tournaments I think. Actually, I don't know. It flashed by while I was waiting for my match to begin, so really it could have been an ad for tickets on a vacation into outer space.

My Review

This is a really nice archipelago -- three main islands and then a couple of little ones hanging around. I like how each island is different and they more or less surround a huge body of water. I found a really cool stronghold that spanned a ravine; on one of the bridges was just sitting a chest. In the same stronghold, I found a flooded library -- not something you see every day. I was also impressed with a huge erosion in the middle of the desert on the west island. It's so big, you can clearly make it out on the map.

All told, even without villages this is a really cool map for groups who want to float from island to island for a little while. The only bad parts were the two swamps: one in the southeast corner the other in the northwest corner. Check out the last photo below: a random floater with a rose.

My Review

This is an okay seed. Really, this one was all about two things: first, a massive cavern that I found that was, frankly, beautiful (see photos) and The End was actually pretty well laid out and easy to get over to the dragon. So I figured I'd throw it in here. The southwest corner of this map is all super swamp; avoid unless you need clay or something.

My Review

Well, this seed is smokin' hot -- in more ways than one. First, I spawned next to a hole in the ground into which water was pouring. When I dropped down to investigate, I got the above photograph. So that was my start to this level. It got better. Tons of lava, lots of Y=12 action, and an extremely impressive stronghold combine to make this by far one of the best levels I've seen.

The stronghold is attached to a system of abandoned mineshafts. Together, it could easily take four to five hours to explore everything and map it all out. In addition, they're all attached to a ravine that by itself would have been a handful. All told, this is a fantastic level with some really sweet goodies.

The Nether

While I was here, I took a look at the nether. It's pretty good. I actually spawned on the very bottom bedrock and had to claw my way back up to the main area. But once I was there, the vast majority of the nether is open and easy to navigate.
