My Review

This is a nice seed with some good clay and flowers. For those of you who are lazy, there are two patches of flat land that could host your cities/castles/wild-west style tumbleweed town. There are pitfalls in several places around the map, so watch your step and always carry a pickaxe. Most interesting was the zombie spawn, which was part of a perfectly-formed, natural zombie farm. Cool stuff.

This was an interesting and quite deep cave system in the middle of this gravel pit. In the background, you can also make out a waterfall pouring through the trees and a little nook that could easily be turned into a hidi-hole. You can find these things at 44.66.386.

My Review

Even though I spawned in a depressing snow-land, there were plenty of resources nearby and if you walk five minutes in any direction, you get back to more habitable biomes. This is a great level for beginners: some good hidi-holes and lots of trees. I can be a little daunting moving from one place to another through some of the steeper mountains, but other than that, an all around good level.

At top, I spawned in a little chilly spot. At right, this is a huge land bridge that I found. You may notice that the right side of the image appears to be speckled with artifacts. Actually, those are two types of mushrooms that were growing en masse in the shade of the land bridge. You can find them at -145.78.248.

My Review

So, I gave this level a shot because I thought maybe I could wish some really cool floaters my way. The result: not a one. The trouble with this level is that all of the really good hidi-holes that I found were submerged. That's a real pain in the ass if you're just getting started. I also found it interesting that there were so many pigs in certain places that they ended up wondering around on the ice sheets. Pigs on ice -- what a gas!

My Review

This is one of those seeds that's been going around the Internet as one of the best seeds you can play. I disagree. I'm not impressed at all by this thing. It has a fair number of hills and a few interesting features -- like the spire imbedded in the mouth of the lake right near where I spawned (see photo above) -- but overall it's very bland and lacks the sizzle to sell this steak. I did find some clay and mushrooms, but all things considered, this one is going to require a lot of digging to get good.
