My Review

This was the first seed I tested today and I scored a homerun right off the bat. I like this terrain. The northwest corner has a major swamp situation happening. Other than that, though, this is a well balanced yet very challenging map. Given the crazy cliffs in this one and some of the other features, this is really for those who like a hard challenge.

I would like to mention that in the list below, I have a lone pumpkin at 79.64.-312. He is the sole betrayer of a huge underground ravine/waterfall setup that is of interest to anyone who plays this board. But, please -- take him with you when you find him. For the love of James Lipton: he's all alone.

My Review

Few seeds have captured my attention the way this one has. This is for several reasons. Firstly, there's a secret waterfall -- I love those! Secondly, this seed is balanced in such a way that a beginner could spend his or her time in the south of the map to their heart's content and never find themselves in trouble. However, more experienced players could find an epic challenge by venturing into the northwest mountain nightmare and rooting around until they find trouble. Finally, there are lots and lots of waterfalls, which makes the whole map quite scenic. A fantastic find.

So, here's something that you need to see. This level has several crisscrossing ravine complexes, but there is one in particular: a triple ravine system that forms a U-shaped, underground complex full of gold at 227.17.272. It is absolutely worth taking the time to climb down to see.

My Review

This was a really well-balanced level. Trees are plentiful but not in the way, mountains are interesting yet navigable. While a little daunting for beginners, I think this seed would be excellent for more experienced players. It's basically a huge hunk of land, so you don't have to swim anywhere and the whole thing is pockmarked with caves. Definitely give this one a shot.

A tree-topped floater (-332.68.-34) chilling next to a sheer cliff face. At right, this photo has a lot going on in it. Firstly, there's the waterfall, which is really impressive. There's also all the gravel and the cave at right which is deep. -272.65.-119 is a cool place to hang out and make a remote camp.

My Review

I took a look at this level and was impressed immediately because it just so happens that I spawned next to a pumpkin. I was very excited. But during the rest of my walkabout, I was quite blasé. So, this level was tracking around the 21-23 overall score mark when all of a sudden, I found the biggest pumpkin patch I've seen in Minecraft. This patch is so amazing that even Linus would be happy. When added to the availability of trees, this level really picked up at the last moment and surprised me with a pretty descent score. Also, you can find a lot of sugar here.

My Review

One of two that I did by request today (wednesday13) for Terantatek, a guy on the GamesFAQs forum. This seed is a nice archipelago that features a large number of squid and pigs. It's very balanced between mountains and trees. It's easy to get around and features some interesting caves. Beginners should stay near the spawn point if they give it a shot; the level is loaded with baddies that pile out of the caves during the day. The north-northeast section of the map is dominated by desert. Given how often I heard zombies just under the surface while walking around, I'm guessing there are some nice farming to be done. But I'll leave that for you to find.

The corner shot I took may seem like a standard, boring randomly-generated seed, but looks can be deceiving. While swimming around, I discovered this cave on an island. It has some nice coal deposits. No coords.

My Review

This is the first board of the day that I can say is truly balanced in most respects. Most important of all the things I like about this board is the spawn point -- which is just epic. There is a nearby massive cave with a lake in it that's easily convert-able into a hidi-hole. Lots of craters and sugar. The edges of the map are covered in interesting and rare formations; you have to walk to get there, but it's worth it. A great starter board for noobs, yet still interesting for veterans.

I would also like to mention that while this seed does have some truly interesting rock formations, it is 90% flat -- a great seed for building small towns.

Above (top) is from a rocky outcrop due north of the spawn. It's a great little landmark spire and you can see the balance of the level in this one shot. Coordinates: -6.85.-191. Next (above, bottom), is a huge table-top overhang/land bridge combo sitting on top of a mountain. You can find this one at 364.89.-319.

At right (top), you'll see a lone sandy spire in the middle of the ocean in the northwest corner. I'd be careful digging on this thing because it looks like it could go at any second. The other photo at right is a shot from the prime attraction of this level: at -397.71.-165 there is a massive overhang/land bridge (shown) and a very nice waterfall.
